Disturbia

Synopsis - After his father's death, Kale becomes sullen, withdrawn, and troubled, so much so that he finds himself under a court-ordered sentence of house arrest. His mother, Julie, works night and day to support herself and her son, only to be met with indifference and lethargy. The walls of his house begin to close in on Kale. He becomes a voyeur as his interests turn outside the windows of his suburban home towards those of his neighbors, one of which Kale begins to suspect is a serial killer. But, are his suspicions merely the product of cabin fever and his overactive imagination?

Review - Remember that guy from Transformers? Shia LaBeouf's the name, man can he act. This time instead of putting the all spark into Megatron's chest, he's tormented by house arrest in this Hitchcock remake of Rear Window (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rear_Window). The whole concept of the movie is pretty interesting with the urban scare factor involved. The female lead isn't that good looking as Megan Fox though and her character kind of bump off nowhere. Plot wise, I felt that it could have been better by adding some twist here and there because it turned out to be too simple and one-dimmensional. Boring but Disturbia was obviously a box-office killer in US and I heard that there's going to be a sequel in pre-production. Anyone interested?
