Lunch - Just before March Madness came to an end, I went to have a really good lunch with Lenard and YK at this pretty cosy little sushi bar restaurant. It was highly recommended by YK and why do I use those adjectives for this sushi bar restaurant because its really small and the maximum seating capacity is roughly around 13 people, excluding the VIP room which can seat about 5 people. I was really stoked to eat at this place because its really hard to find a good sushi bar in Singapore and its spear headed by a Japanese Chef. As we tucked into the raw and blow torched meat placed on top of Japanese rice, we talked about jobs and Nintendo DS haha thanks to my recent acquisition. Oh yea we had buffet lunch, basically the chef will keep placing sushi on your individual plate according to what he has to offer and you can order from the menu too if you want as long as they are covered in the buffet. The Japanese green tea is free flow here which is a plus for me. The sushi you can get here are pretty old school Japanese type mainly seafood, I had a Fugu one (Puffer Fish) which was rather interesting because its known to be poisonous if you've been through school before. Don't expect fusion type of Japanese sushi to be served, its all authentic old school style and you can have a fruit pudding for dessert to top it all off. Too bad sake wasn't part of the buffet menu haha but its really a place I would strongly recommend all to try out. Oh yea there's also a bookshelf filled with Japanese comic books and magazines for those Otakus to read and enjoy their sushi. Lunch buffet cost around SGD$37 after those annoying taxes and all.
