Skase Teacup Set by Steve Watson

Skase Teacup Set - Based on the idea of symbiosis which is a close, prolonged association between two or more different organisms of different species that may but does not necessarily benefit each other. A teacup set for the post-modern world which breaks the traditional notion of a flat base. The cup is made from white glazed creamware which is accompanied with a pleasingly tactile pointed shape and sits on a cross base made from Manchurian walnut. The entire composition looks extremely cosy when you have your drink but the pointed shape of the cup means it cannot be standing alone which could be a reflection of its concept. Still, the idea is really refreshing and definitely a conversation starter if you ask me. Click here to get yours.
