Seiko Power Design Project 2008 Watches

Seiko - This is an interesting design competition in Japan which has a different theme each year and the company gets involved with local artists to design watches that come from different points of view. Winners of the competition get their watches made and this year the theme is to design a timepiece that is as "Japanese" as possible. The designs are focused on areas around Tokyo and they are each being named after those areas. Not really sure whether each design is a pure representation of that area but they each have their own personal language imbued in them which makes them really fresh. Click here to get more info.
