Grande Papilio - New swivelling lounge chair with an optional ottoman by Naoto Fukasawa. The shape is a sculpture cut from a solid conical-shaped chunk expanding upwards with observations about how people usually use chairs. Interesting that while people are seated rigidly straight, they generally end up twisting to either the left or right for relaxing or chilling so that's the reason why he has spread the back of the chair around to curve sides. The name is Italian for butterfly and this piece takes its name from the spreading wings of a butterfly. Stylish and practical at the same time since there is an exposed up up the back for easy removal of the fabric cover. Awesome to see something other than supernormal from Fukasawa.
