LumBar Stool by James Douglas

LumBar Stool - Inspired by the gravity defying physical forms of "mushroom rocks" which are eroded at a quicker pace lower down the form rather than at the top. Plywood was used for its edge detail which was a great way to create a contour and sediment look. Constructed using 38 1" layers of CNC cut ply board stacked on top of one another connected by a single 12mm steel bar located down the centre of the stool is tightened up by a nut and bolt system.
