Design for Life - So its finally on. Starck's reality show for product designers. Interestingly its targeted at British designers for their lack of relevant design style which I think Tom Dixon would disagree. Not sure whether he should be the right person judging and criticising because after all the contestants are going to be like his children, all trying to think like him. Fortunately, his comments are extremely thought provoking and sharp and I do agree with many of the things he has mentioned about consumerism and the responsibility of a designer. Felt almost like my studio life was streaming right infront of me haha. Interesting.
