Shade Pixel by Design Media Laboratory

Shade Pixel - Interactive display that uses small depressions in its surface instead of light source to display images. The display is covered with a sheet of flexible spandex that is used to represent information. As it is non-luminescent and very simple in construction, it could be used on everyday products and even as a material for architectural designs. Pretty neat way of presenting information with a tactile quality. Check out the video below and click here for more information.
