Marc Newson: Urban Spaceman

Marc Newson - He's truly one of my inspirations after Starck. An aussie industrial designer who knows no boundaries and has created almost anything from the iconic Lockheed Lounge chair to coat hangers. His fascination with space odyssey can be seen in many of his work and its not surprise to see him working on the Space Plane. The truly extraordinary part of his creations are the extreme relevance to the current generation and that is probably why his designs are so sought after. Did a presentation about him and Ron Arad during Semester One and never regretted it. Recently he talked to Alan Yentob about his inspirations, thought processes and designs on BBC One.
